Games Night Featuring Castle Panic!

  • May 7, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • The Orange Tree

Welcome to Games Night! Why not spend an evening in good company having a chat and a drink whilst playing some board games. This event differs from our regular games day as each time we will have at least one 'featured game' that we will play.

This month, the featured game is being supplied by Dani - If you would like your game to be featured at a future event let me know!

We normally have two tables worth of people, so who wants there game to be featured for table two? Do you have a game you love playing but rarely get the chance? this is it! Have a game you think more people should know about? Bring it along!

Table one's featured game this month is.... Castle Panic!

The forest is filled with all sorts of Monsters. They watched and waited as you built your Castle and trained your soldiers, but now they've gathered their army and are marching out of the woods. Can you work with your friends to defend your Castle against the horde, or will the Monsters tear down your Walls and destroy the precious Castle Towers?

Castle Panic is a cooperative, light strategy game for 1 to 6 players. Players must work together to defend their castle, in the centre of the board, from monsters that attack out of the forest, at the edges of the board. Players trade cards, hit and slay monsters, and plan strategies together to keep their castle towers intact. The players either win or lose together!

If you would like to see the game in action, here it is on the great show Tabletop...

Hi I'm new to this and rather excited to be attending the social. Just a quick suggestion/request, as I'm wheelchair bound could we use normal height tables rather than the sofas and coffee tables. I'm sorry to be an inconvenience.

Hi Nirav, if you've not been to the orange tree before, it has two entrances - the side entrance on the paved area leading to north sherwood street is flat for wheelchair access :)

Hi James, I've been to the Orange tree once before and know where the entrance is thanks :D. Can't remember if its always open or whether I need to get a member of staff to open it. Looking forward to it.
