Women's ADHD Support Group - Old Town, Alexandria) Support group meeting for adu

Join a circle of women who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and are interested in gaining strategies, skills, and strength to enhance life and maximize their potential and lead joyful lives.

Here you will find companionship, support, resources, recommendations and the kind of understanding that comes from being with those who realize that women have issues and experiences that are often different from men with ADHD.

This group will provide support and information-sharing, rooted in personal experience, and a potential "tribe" - a place where women who struggle, celebrate or perhaps suffer from their ADHD, can find companions and strength.  Adult females who have been diagnosed (or who are wondering - exploring the potential of a diagnosis), are invited and encouraged to join us.

Group Facilitator, Terri Pilkerton, is a Counselor-in-Training at Carrick Family Counseling and Chapter Administrator for the Northern Virginia & District of Columbia Chapter of CHADD(Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder). Following her own adult diagnosis of ADHD, she has been passionate about helping other women with ADHD to become their best selves. Ms, Pilkerton uses a blend of Cognitive and Behavior strategies, Mindfulness, and Play to help her clients to improve their lives and thrive amidst the emotional challenges that come with living with ADHD.
