June 14, 2012 JUG Meeting - Jen Kramer

On Thursday, June 14, 2012, Jen Kramer will speak on Joomla Access Control Lists (ACLs):

Starting with Joomla 1.6, Access Control Lists (ACL) add to Joomla's flexibility and power, moving it closer to the realm of an enterprise CMS. Unfortunately, ACL can be tricky to understand and configure. Jen will walk you through how to get the most out of ACL on your site, including front-end configuration of access levels and back-end configuration of the administrator interface

This meeting will be entirely virtual as we cannot get the library this evening!

1.  Please join my meeting, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.

2.  Use your microphone and speakers (VoIP) - a headset is recommended.  Or, call in using your telephone.  Webcams and laptops with microphones need to be muted to avoid proliferating echos!  Please check out ahead of time in case you have to download GoToMeeting!

Thanks, Jen, for a great presentation. Very useful information for us all to know as we work more with 2.5 sites!

Great meeting on how to properly set up the ACL feature within Joomla! 2.5.x. I will use this knowledge today on current and new Joomla! sites. A big THANK YOU to Jen for presenting at our monthly JUG meeting.

What can you say? We had Jen Kramer! The meeting ran on schedule and Jen's presentation was spot on what the attendees needed. She's an expert and we were lucky to steal some of her time. Thanks again, Jen. You rock!

Sorry for that confusing wording. It made sense when I tried emailing it to you. She will send a GTM link to the Google Group the day of the meeting. I believe she typically also posts the same here.

    Hi Barbara,

Dorothy will send a GoToMeeting invite with link to this email list the day of the meeting. If you don't have GTM installed on your computer just give yourself an extra 5 minutes to download and install it, which you will be prompted to do when you join the meeting. I believe it will run as a browser plugin if you don't want to install the application.

    See you in etherspace!
