Also referred to as environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity is when someone reacts negatively to chemicals and toxins. Epidemiologic studies show that about 30% of the population is sensitive to common chemicals and foods with between 3.5% and 6% seriously sensitive.

This group is a social and support group for those who have found that they are unable to tolerate many of the foods and chemicals that society takes for granted. These include paints, pollens, molds, plastics, gases, synthetic fabrics, resins, beauty products, chemical cleaners and insect repellents. Chemical sensitivity and environmental illness can include or is often closely related to: food sensitivity, electrical and EMF sensitivity, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety disorder, IBS, lupus, tinnitus, asthma, and sick building syndrome.

If you have moderate or severe MCS, environmental illness, or sick building syndrome, and are looking for others to socialize with who understand your need for a clean environment free of perfumes, laundry detergent, deodorant, and other chemicals, this group is for you.

If interested in joining, please write a description about yourself in regards to your interest in the group before applying. We reserve the right to not approve or remove individuals joining for the main purpose of promoting products or services.

"Hi, I'm Sherry and have multiple reactions to different chemicals, even different perfumes that people I come into contact with effects me differently. It is terrible to have to work with so many people wearing chemicals and don't care about others."

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
