MOONlight on the Platte

This is one of my my favorite moonlight walks. Very pretty being next to the river and ponds in the Chatfield Wetlands area among the towering cottonwoods. We'll walk North from the parking lot at the Discovery Pavilion towards Chatfield Res. The trail is flat, sometimes open and sometimes among tall cottonwoods. It goes past some ponds then to the Platte River. Plan on walking 3 or 4 miles total, about 1 1//2 to 2 hours. Discovery Pavilion is the first parking lot as you come into Waterton. From C-470 go South on Wadsworth Blvd. about 4 1/2 miles. Turn left where a sign points to Roxborough Park (going straight would lead to a gate for Lockheed Martin).
Go only about 1/10 mile and turn left where there are 2 large cement slabs which say Discovery Pavillion. The signs can't be read well at night, just go on either side of the cement slabs then drive to the North end of the Parking lot and park under the street light. Pet and kid friendly. Please bring a flashlight and warm clothing.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
