A free energy device is a machine that apparently generates more energy out than it receives. The source being either the environment or a source unknown. Free energy claims abound on the Internet. Most conventional scientists reject such claims outright. If the conventional science community rejects it, then getting seen as a reputable group (e.g., government grants) will be harder to do. However, many experiments exists that do possess anomalous outputs. Open-minded researchers have devised some alternative theories to account for such effects.
