We're back in action with our 5pm mini-classes! Come join us for a mini-class each month.

Speculative fiction is a vast and myriad literary genre. It can be hard SF or wild Fantasy. It can be romantic or visceral (or both!). Whatever you write, speculative fiction as a genre has its own genre conventions, tropes, and essential elements.

Come join us each 2nd Saturday this summer for our MINI CLASS with special guest speakers talking about writing and speculative fiction writing.

WHAT: Mini-class

WHEN: every 2nd Saturday, 5pm

WHERE: Hurst Barnes & Noble

WHO: speakers vary

FEE: no fee, free!

Bring your friends!

After the MINI CLASS, we will have our regular monthly speculative fiction workshop from 6pm - 9pm. This is also a free workshop and open to the public. (To participate, you must join the workshop with a previous attendance and invitation from the group.)

It's good to get feedback. I had to rate myself to see the comments, LOL. Four stars--I could have known the script better. Hope people will respond to the email about needing (or not) access to the protagonist's mind for deep point of view.

It was a good presentation of character proximity in narration which brought a new conscious dimension to my writing. Thank you.

Bill

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
