Hi! This group is for fun adults who want to get out and mingle with other like-minded fun singles. There's more to life than just work and home, so if you want to get yourselves out of the house, out of the office, and enjoy some leisure time in fun and low-key environments, you're looking at the right group. Here's what we're about: movie night out, grab a bite then go bowling, paint ball, amusement parks, triathlons (totally kidding about the triathlons LOL ), maybe a little karaoke (for you brave ones), going to see live music of different genres, some day/weekend getaways, meeting for some tapas and drinks sometimes, and more! (Please don't hesitate to suggest your own events, too!)
Don't worry, this group won't have you jumping out of planes or off cliffs, or have you swimming across the English Channel, but what it will do is allow us all the chance to mingle with other fun individuals, in a judgement-free way, who are just looking to get out more and enjoy ourselves!
I took over this group from our previous organizer so that it could be sponsored by our local chapter of Parents Without Partners, a national organization. The local chapter will be sponsoring this group as I know that many of you are single parents. If you would like to join the local chapter so that your child could be eligible for a college scholarship or child subsidies for children under 18 for certain PWP-sponsored activities (some of our events here will allow us to bring children), you would need to join Parents Without Partners Chapter 120 serving Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties in NJ and nearby counties in NJ and Pa. Please feel free to contact me. I can explain how a full membership works.
For those of you who are single and do not have children, please remain part of this group as a PWP friend if you are already a member of NWNJ Fun Singles. If you are a parent of an adult child like me, please feel free to stay with us - the more the merrier. New members with or without children are always welcome to join this group.
Your ideas are always welcome and I am hoping that we will have a happy group of organizers to keep our ideas fresh and share the responsibility of posting fun activities for all to enjoy. It seems to me that the most successful groups on Meetup are the ones that have multiple organizers.
