Join fellow technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors for the NY Enterprise Technology Meetup's (NYETM) inaugural event on Wednesday 1/25/12 from 7:00pm-9:00pm!
During our meetups we're going to breathe some excitement into the enterprise space and highlight innovations going on in the enterprise technology ecosystem.
The format of the event will be demos by the 4 companies for 15 minutes each (with time for 5 minutes of audience Q&A after each demo), along with the "business app of the month," and lastly of course time to network.
For our first meetup we have some exciting companies demoing their technologies, including:
- Bitly - new real-time search leverages their shortened urls to offer a reputation monitoring service.
- PerspecSys - enables companies to leverage cloud applications without any concerns about data Privacy, Residency, or Security (PRS) regulations.
- Socialware - compliant access to social networks for financial services firms along with analytics and engagement metrics.
- Red Rover - helps employees connect and contribute to the workplace by sharing knowledge
We also will have a "business app of the month" segment, and this month's is ScanBizCards who will do a quick demo of their iPhone/Android business card scanning app.

Not bad. Despite the organizer's attempt to make the event tech-focused, it felt like a networking event for salespeople. The demos were excellent and the event itself was better than I had expected.
