Mailing List Policy

NY Scala has a fairly quiet mailing list. It is mainly used to announce upcoming meetups, but we also welcome active members of the group to mail the list (ny-scala-list@meetup.com) about items of particular interest to the local Scala community. The list is moderated, and we do not accept announcements of general tech events/sites/lists/whatever from people who have just joined the group to send the message.

Members seeking employment in Scala and companies offering employment in Scala are a natural topic for this list. However, on the employer side, we must insist that the notice be for a particular open position where the work is predominantly in Scala, and the hiring company must be disclosed.
