“ it was very inspirational listening to CEO's of companies speak about their company and experiences. ”
— Marc Frydman on Jun 4, 2008.
“ I think you need to spice up the format a bit. First suggestion is to have a meetup every two months, you can get much better speakers that way. I like the idea of something along the lines of the instructables guy -- talking about a concept and not really demoing a web 2.0 business. I think there are a lot of interesting people willing to give a mini 5 minute talk on a tech related concept. Perhaps some spoken editorials, experience anecdotes, emerging trends, social behavior, etc. I think that scott is a great mc. I think its funny when he sums up the presenter's long winded self explanation down to about 4 words. I think that he should engage the audience more. For example, I think that some members in the audience are pretty interesting. If a guy is asking some pretty interesting questions, Scott could ask him to come up to the stage and introduce himself -- or interview him. I think that would be very entertaining and interesting. I have more thoughts. not enough charactrs! ”

“ The organization focuses on innovation, allows companies small and large to promote themselves to a participating audience that not only supports in numbers but really has a vested interest in the technology advancement and betterment of NY but to everyone we are able to reach. Last night there were many instances of grand applause and with much reason. The speakers presented concepts and ideas that were relevant, exciting, and innovating which resulted in the excitement and appreciation of those who attended. This is one Meetup non-participants should check out if they have the opportunity. Time and time again, I have seen the sponsors sitting in the audience right beside us, willing to meet the participants and supporting the events they have committed themselves to supporting. It's not often that you will see sponsors in attendance every time and which is a show of how important it is to them to help the growing community of Tech entreprenuers in NY. ”

— Steve Rosenbaum on Apr 3, 2007.
“ I love this Meetup, both the content and the attendees. I think it'd be VERY MUCH worth spending time and money to iron-out the technical issues to enable proper audio and wireless Internet. This is a demo-centric tech meetup, after all. Thx for listening.... ”

“ I've come to a couple meetings and think they are great. I wonder if we couldn't add a bulletin board for individuals who are looking to connect - looking for collaborators on the technical or business front etc. I find that it's hard to actually talk to people during this event and meeting at a bar afterwards is not always the best way either. Thanks either way for putting on a great event. ”

“ Thanks for organizing it, and keep doing what you're doing! In Silicon Valley, I used to attend the accu-usa.org's monthly group. They had 1-2 hour long presentations, often introductions, to technical topics. I learned a tremendous amount there in the 3 years I attended, and still haven't found an equivalent club here. If this group spins one like that off, I'd like to hear about it. ”

“ It has been suggested that groups should splinter off on specific topics - I am not sure if this is to maybe to reduce the size of this group? If it is then I think people like the fact that this is so wide open topic wise and maybe it should be run more often to reduce the numbers if they become out of control for the venues we have. ”
— Andy Lister on Feb 8, 2006.

“ This group seems to be more about promotion then about new technology, which is cool, but misleading. I was expecting to see more discussion about how and what is being done on the internet and less of this is what I'm trying to sell you. ”
