“ I could not see the demo for any of the presenters except the last one. Someone should have fixed this before the meeting or at the beginning. ”

“ Apture was my favorite, installed it immediately. Zemanta also very useful. Signed up with ActionMethod, downloaded their iPhone app but after using todoist, remember the milk and finally settling with Things, I'm not sure if ActionMethod will make me switch for my personal ToDo. And we use Basecamp for team projects so again not sure if ActionMethod can replace that. Competitive space to be in. The product looks good though. We'll see... ”

“ The venue sucked. The projector was too week to produce an image on the large screen that could be readable from the audience. Lowering the house lights did not go any good. Plus, the various presenters (and Nate, who was the worst offender) made way too much noise with the microphones. Totally unprofessional. Lastly, although the presentations were pretty good (at least from what I could hear, as opposed to see), there were two of them that were almost the same. Who made these choices? Please go back to the old venue, or find a new one with better production values. ”

“ I realize it's not easy to secure a space that's large enough, but it's unfortunate that the two spaces used recently (FIT and New World Stages) had little to no mobile data service, though I can speak only of AT&T. I'm sure it diminishes both the opportunities of presenters (esp. of mobile apps) and audience engagement. Also: the stage lighting was pretty harsh, the screen was too dim, and the audio sounded low quality too. I think everyone did great (and the staff was really friendly) given all of these conditions, but it made it harder to focus on the content of the presentations. ”

“ This was well organized and entertaining. Some of the presentations could have been better, but I understand how nervous you can be in front of an auditorium full of people. On the other hand, some of the presentations blew me away. It was a real treat to hear Scott Heiferman's thoughts on his recent trip to Iraq. ”

“ Sound system was no bad that my ears hurt. I realize the venue was a last minute switch but still... Host and presenters were good. Unfortunately the bad image projection quality hurt the presentation detail. Text was mostly unreadable. Conclusion: they don't know A/V at that venue. Would like to know how to schedule an announcement for the next Tech Meetup. Brian Cohen tells me its possible. I posted on the web but that apparently does not translate into a slot at the Meetup. ”

“ I liked it. It was my first time. I would recommend some light refreshments in the beginning and possibly charging 20 a person. We learn a lot about upcoming startups and cool web apps. ”

“ Too much non-tech or non-entrepreneur content recently.. last week too much time was spent on announcements, this week too much time was spent on delivering scott's political agenda. even though i thought scott's presentation was interesting, i dont think it was right to hijack a meetup about ny tech to talk about it. i'm paying $10 every month to see cool demos... ”
