The hurricane disaster recovery special focus was an interesting idea, but I don't feel like I learned anything that wasn't really obvious before (eg. these days someone can hack together a site in a day that provides a simple but useful service and gets propagated quickly - wow, what a surprise, network effects on the internet, etc... :) Connecting people was a good thing, but a tighter focus instead of unprepared brainstorming (with some participants lacking basic facts) would be nice. ”
