* Iterating: New generation semantic wiki accessible in RSS and RDF
* MeetMoi: Beta mobile dating with real time proximity search from phones
* We've Met: Reconnect with people or something like that
* TheLadders.com: Tech team presenting their new AJAX application
* StreamBase: Fast real-time historical complex event processing software
* BudgetSnap: Easy way to manage finances online
* Panther Express: New high performance, low price CDN
* Plus, OneWebDay: celebrating the web in outdoor spaces around the world

Thanks to the venture capital firm of DFJ Gotham for helping us cover costs.

** Lerner Hall is located at Broadway between 114th and 115th - prior to today, the map indicated that it was further uptown, but this is not the case. **

    •  Great!
    •  The mix of presenters was excellent. We could have had a few more announcements (I didn't want to make one but I did want to hear what others had to say). Really enjoy the meetup.
    •  Very beneficial.
    •  Great job on keeping things moving. The fast pace is a nice change from other tech groups.
    •  Still too many presentations.
    •  We appreciated the opportunity to present We?ve Met (www.wevemet.com) and would love to hear your feedback. Also, we are looking for a Director of Marketing and a Director of Technology so please let us know if you are interested or know anyone who might be. Send comments and/or resumes to [masked]

with the exception of meetmoi, the demos weren't as good as normal
    •  Would like to see presenters spend more time on the underlying business and revenue models. Answer the question: how will this be a viable business?
    • Matt T. (+1 guest)
Excellent mix of types of companies. Good idea not to rate them.
    •  very lively, good vibe, nice event, very satisfying
    •  None of the demos were bad! Everyone seemed to have practiced their presentations, and the tech and ideas were interesting.
    •  The pacing was much better than last month and the quality of presentations was really good. I'd like to see more positive feedback and less bashing though. Perhaps there should also be a pre-event cocktail hour so that people could socialize.
    • Sander R. NLBorrels (+1 guest)
       good
    •  Another great bunch of companies. I think however its better to show startups and small companies, then companies like Streambase that already have a large userbase and are very established.
    • Brian Kroski (+1 guest)
ok, presentations ran a little long. I preferred it when scott was tougher on the time limits.
    •  six seems to be the magic number, in terms of # of presentations. eight - or seven and a half - were too many
    • Dan Barry (+1 guest)
Nice mix of presentations. Good pacing.
    •  excellent presenters; excellent energy
    •  thank you scott for keeping strict w/ time limits. you were a great host, b/t/w.
    •  Interesting, tho after touting the fact that the inventor of social networks would be there, had hoped to hear him talk about the evolution of social networks rather than ONLY talk about his latest money making effort. Also, there's gotta be a better way to promote networking at these events. Perhaps the announcement/come to my event stuff should be featured as people are walking in, so that true networking can occur when the five or six presentations are over.
