    •  Great event and interesting presentations. Started off slow because Allison B Fine's book momentum was presented off a PDF and not really newtech related. Then it got much better towards the end when Motionbox and Prosper spoke...but ended on a slow note as Google presentation got too "java code" focused for me. Favorite moment: when the meetup leader from NY pet rat owner group spoke immediately after a presentation was given that showed how scientists can control a rats movements with a joystick by stimulating brain sensors. Lesson learned: Start a meetup..there are bound to be others with a similar interest...hell there are 87!! pet rat meetup members
    •  I think the drinks helped loosen everyone up a bit more to talk and share.
    •  Great talks! I liked the mix a lot-a book, cyberrats, an open-source toolkit, and then some conventional demos. I also liked the conversation groups afterwards. It would be SUPER cool if there were some related companies that could be paired in the post-talk discussions-it would be fun to watch the potential fireworks.

It was not the level of innovative projects I have seen here in the past, although the rat was impressive! Easy networking in a pleasant space. Looking forward to December's.
    •  It was good, but I would like to have seen more companies/websites instead of research projects/authors.
    •  Better mix of technologies represented this month. Need more time for structured networking.
    •  I always have positive things to say about this meetup. Setting discussion areas for each presentation was a great idea, as well as inviting a related meetup organizer (the pet rat meetup)... you should continue doing that to showcase other groups and meetup.com in general.
    •  The best one yet. Awesome presentations. Thanks Scott!
    •  The presentations were a bit lackluster as compared to previous meetups. Also, I missed the part where audience members came up and made announcements.
    •  Meet Up is like google ... just a little better
    •  What set this Meetup apart from the ones I have attended in the past was the organized discussion session after all the presentations were finished. Refreshments were wonderful and the setting was fantastic. A++++ it's what Meetup is about.
    •  I presented about Prosper.com and found the audience questions to be thoughtful and intelligent. It was a great event. Thanks for including me. Looking forward to future NY Tech Meetups!
    •  I thought it all was terrific this week, the only thing I thought could have been better was the book talk. Although i understand it is in the spirit of tech, it seemed to loose the interest of the crowd a little bit.
    •  not a good mix
    •  Presenting companies were OK. I really enjoyed the September meetup. Prosper and Motionbox were my favorites.
    •  the first presenter should have been given the hook much sooner and it was not fair to the other presenters who were told their time was up.
    •  This was one of the best meetups ever. Good variety of presenters, great venue, and great networking. Check out my blog entry about the event at: http://newsfeed.c...
    •  Very good. It's nice the meetup maintains its casual feel even while it is large. It's also good that Scott keeps the presentations short and sweet. Keep it casual.
    •  Loved the location and the discussions at the end of the session.
    •  Kind of a low key event. It was cool to be in the Google offices, but I would have enjoyed hearing more from Google folk. The lady who was pushing her book, the and guy with the rat brain thing were very out of place. While the rat brain guy was funny to listen to, neither really had anything of importance for the NYC Tech scene to hear. You also skipped the part at the end where you let people come up and let them have the mic for a few seconds. I think there are often 1 or 2 decent things brought up.
    •  Interesting variety of companies.
    •  Google space was great. we should do that more often.
    •  The rat guy was hillarious.
    •  I loved the space, but the presenters were OK
    •  Well done although I tend to like a bit more tech in my tech-meetup. Was going to ask for a $1 refund after the book presentation (where's the tech!) but having the leader of the Rat Meetup totally made up for it. Thanks so much to Google for putting us up for the night.
    •  Fun to be in googleland, but the peanut gallery was too well behaved and I would have liked to see more tech
