Who attended?

• 429 attendees
• too large a crowd, not the right type of food for the price, and need better presentations.
• Have written my comments at http://blog.arabx... NY Meetup Review
• Do this again next year!
• Hall was poorly lit. $20 was too much for the event and no real food. Good gathering of people though and good networking.
• It was incredibly difficult to meet people with similar interests, or even to find specific people. I had forgotten the name and face of one of the speakers, and asked people if they knew who had presented for a specific company. People didn't know, and there was no six degrees of separation to guide me closer. Socially, the structure was a decapitated pyramid, with most people seemingly interested only in talking with people in specific industries, but with no effective way of identifying or getting to them.
• this was my first and i thought it was great!
• great job. great year.
• Started late, presentations weren't very interesting. Some better screening of the speakers and better organization would help.
• The presentations were a bit lackluster, but the overall experience was okay.
• nice to have a networking element to the event
• Very impressed with the networking opportunities at this event. Good presentations too
• Great Event. Catering afterwards was at a appropriate level and well attended. It would be great to see this style of event one to three times per year as a special version of the monthly meetup. It isn't important to cater every month. The focus needs to remain on the presentations.
• Brilliant and energetic people. All around, a great experience and I'm very glad I went. The lobby was too small for the crowd, but perhaps the persistence of the crowd is testament to the overall excellence of the event.
• Recommendation to presenters would be to not try to demo everything. Show me what I need to know to understand why I should use/pay for your product. Always tell me your revenue model. I thought Scott was often unnecessarily rude and curt in an attempt to be funny. Would be great if he toned that down a bit and treated the presenters with more respect.
• Good year-end wrap up. Not a good location. It's hard to see with 20 odd columns in the middle of the seats. It was like obstructed view at Fenway. I enjoyed the tech writer. It is nice to hear broader perspective and a long-term view.
• Thought there would be more food and more opportunity for real genuine networking afterwards. The presentation space was great but the space outside was too small.
• The presentations were too rushed. The columns obstructed the view. The simple snacks were definitely not worth $20.
• Had an awesome time at this meetup. I think after the beer/wine started flowing everyone was eager to meet those around them and hear what cool projects people were working on.
• I was happy to learn about the Wilson Sonsini startup college
• To pay $20 for people more talking about markeeting, than new technology when it is a technology meeting kind of sucks. I expected longer presentations and more of people showing and talking about new technologystuff.
• Exceptional. Very well run and well organized.
• the demos are just not that great
• 20 dollars was alot for the amount of food and drink offered. Also, the space was not really very good. Too crowded and poorly lit.
• The presentations were OK, not great.
• Joe
Great presentations and great place to network with like-minded people!
• Some interesting startups were presented. Was a bit disappointed by the prediction part. Might have been more fun if attendees had been surveyed beforehand about predictions, with notable predictions or more interesting prediction cited.
• Rob
