I, regretfully, missed this meet up. Any chance audio/video can be recorded of future meetings and posted on the site? It *could* double as promo material for the group ;)

Hi There Can we extend the meeting corners beyond the session so people can contact the presenters after the meeting? I am trying to get connected to the guy who presented the "peek" in the last meeting. Thanks Alon

Hey All, Team Coovents is pumped to present. We'll demo our new iPhone app. Just imagine, an app that shows you current happy hours based on your location; sounds cool to me! Greg Coovents.com @Coovents

I just wanted to let everyone know about a raffle Mindgrub (www.mindgrub.com/raffle) is having to bring in the new year. We are giving away a mac mini, wii, ipod nanno, best buy certificates and much more. Look for me at the meetup and I'll let you pick a raffle ticket. I'll be one of the redheads there and will try to wear a Mindgrub shirt.

If you've already RSVP'd, but didn't pay yet, you shouldn't need to un-RSVP and then re-RSVP in order to pay. You should see a link in the RSVP section to "Pay online now."

    •  Exactly what a Tech Meetup should be. Very well run, with great presentations and demos. Thank you Nate and Dawn.
    •  i thought the presenters should have been allowed to answer a few more questions each.
    •  Nate is bringing a lot of energy and enthusiasm that will hopefully take us a little further along. Love the bar hang out after, and looking forward to a change to a bigger and more convenient venue.
    •  This meet-up made me think about the start-up community in a new way. There seems to be two types: 1) one that is trying to build the next generation platform for whatever (last night it happened to be mobile) 2) the other is just trying to build a neat service. As it goes, last night I enjoyed the services more (Coovents, and OMGICU). Nevertheless, it is clear that these two distinct types of start-ups share different characteristics: 1) Neat services give presentations that are clear, tangible, and easy to understand. 2) Platforms have trouble explaining their products in clear and succinct ways. 3) Platforms tend to have more grandiose dreams about their capabilities, and their role in the future. I wonder how this economy will treat the two different types of start-ups. I wonder if one enjoys an edge for potential exit strategies.
    •  The meetup was a good event overall. However, it seems that there is no transparency in the process of the presenting companies. There was an announcement that companies were invited to present with a link to apply. However when the list of presenting companies came out they were all different than the ones that applied except for maybe 1 or 2. I am not complaining about the companies that presented. They were good. However just wondering why there was a disconnect in the list of companies that applies and the final list of companies that presented. Who picks the presenting companies?
    •  Enjoyed all of the presentations. Maybe incorporate a 10 minute panel discussion at the end with all of the presenters so they can collectively interact with the audience. Jeff Jarvis' passion was contagious.
    •  This was my first Meetup and it exceeded all expectations. Haven't been so inspired in a long time.
    •  Its still going on, but the mobile social world is cool. Jarvis' upcoming book also sounds pretty good.
    •  This was my first meetup and I found the presentations to be very engaging and succinct with good questions from the audience. Great exposure to a lot of exciting young companies. I will definitely attend again.
