    Offshore Website Development

    Hello All,

    I am looking to set up a meetup to discuss offshore site development.

    My company is currently working with a team in China and is finishing a Phase 1 Alpha site.

    We would like to talk to others who have worked with an offshore team and are curious to know what problems, events, milestones arose during the phases of development.

    Specifically:

    1) How far were you able to develop with the offshore team? (full launch, alpha, beta?)
    2) What were the major problems you encountered?
    3) At what point, if ever, did you establish U.S. based developers?
    4) Once this occurred, how did the relationship evolve?
    5) What was your compensation agreement? At what point, if ever, would equity interest become a part of the compensation agreement to align interests of developer?

    Would appreciate any thoughts, comments, participation, expressions of interest.
