Looking forward! I'm also looking for startups to interview for UBATV so if you're interested, come find me during mingling time :)

See you all there! Ask why I'm partnering with programmers and Wordpress Coders...

    Great speakers!
  • Ritaly
Most presenters were not interesting, several outright wastes of time. Only the deputy mayor and the first presenter were up to par. Nate took way too much time.
  • Bernie Kahn
Some great products, and enjoyed the lively energies. Nate did his usual superb job of organizing, and for a change got to present. Too bad the NYC folks didn't hang around to chat afterwards. Wish that the post-meeting gathering location had been displayed on screen.

Some interesting presentations, though a few I had trouble seeing what the big deal was. Neat way to meet some cool people and companies, but much harder to do if they were not presenting. Just talking with our neighbor does not maximize the potential here, is there a way to foster more conversations? Even if it's contrived?
  • Erik Nygren
I had a good time, especially at the Gstaad afterwards where I got to meet a bunch of great entrepreneurs.
  • Kelly Byrd
This was my first and I am very much looking forward to the next one!

Presentations were long and some disappointing; venue didn't have enough networking space; after-party was too noisy to talk
  • Matt Sudol
great seeing all the new ideas/start-ups.
  • Steven Lehrburger
AnyClip and SetJam were cool, but I thought some of the others were less interesting/innovative in their respective spaces. The talk at the beginning about Big Apps was a bit long and dry, and not a good way to start the talks.
  • Michael Duda
With all the momentum in past few weeks about NYC start up community, I would have love to seen all all-stars. Good lineup, but did not feel like creme de la creme. Also, would love more of a crowdsourcing environment where audience can participate.
  • David LaBar
I'm always inspired by the ideas and ambition out there. People in NYC really do follow their dreams.

A few interesting things, Nate's anyclip has a lot of promise but intellectual property concerns loom. The so called business tool "regroup" didn't do much at all but postling has promise for a niche market. "Tagnic" has a completely indefensible business model as anyone can create a similar service in a few weeks using Twitters API, the business card processor also tries to address a niche but there are players in that space, little unique differentiation. All in all an ok set , nothing to draw any major oohs and ahh's ..maybe next month!
  • Michael Donohue
    Good meetup. Glad I attended.
  • cybergal
Excellent presentations, very interesting new technologies. Entertaining too!
  • Mattan Ingram
People need to write what they do or what they are looking for on their name-tags! This will make networking afterward a lot easier. Presenters were alright, but nothing with a major vision or catching core purpose. See everyone next time.
  • Jeremy Gerstle
Companies weren't all that interesting except for anyClip - which has more behind it than meets the eye, or so we were led to believe.
  • Peyton Sise
Presentations were great - really interesting and efficiently presented -- never boring, good pace --I couldn't attend the networking after, so can't comment on that. Looking forward to the next....
  • Martin Ryan
Really enjoyed the intro to setjam.com. The speaker engaged the audience from the get-go about something they cared about. The other demos were just feature/function/benefit which didn't compel interest as much, even though many of them were good products.
  • Jon Thornton
The venue / AV setup is fantastic. I'm getting pretty tired of hearing about startups that are focused on twitter. There has to be other interesting stuff out there, right?
