Simulcast of May NYTM at New Work City

Note: This listing is for watching a live simulcast of the event at New Work City, not watching the main event in person at NYU.

For the simulcast: join a small group of friends and fellow technologists to watch NY Tech Meetup live from New Work City. You'll have a chance to connect and enjoy a beer, all while watching the demos at NYTM's monthly event.

During any downtime that may occur, we'll use the time to introduce ourselves and get to know each other. If there are any apocalyptic issues, we may call upon you to demo things yourselves :)

If you're a New Work City member: we'll hold some extra spots for you. Add yourself to the wait list if the event is full!

Want to sponsor the next simulcast? Email [masked] to discuss!

Interested in membership at NWC? Tony would love to talk to you! Email him at [masked]!

Not happy they charge the same price to watch an (flakey) simulcast as they do to watch it in person.

I thought there was a link to watch the simulcast... I'm not physically in NY right now so I can't make it. I'm so bummed out

    Hi Everybody,

I just moved to NYC a month ago, am very excited to discover this group that will bring me all newest update about technologies. If anyone amongst you know any art event related to the new technologies please be kind to let me know. Sometimes we - art people - only get time and energy to focus on museums, galleries and academies but are not aware of what's happening in science and technology worlds. Let us know, we will really appreciate your recommendations!
Hope to meet with you in a very soon future!

Hi. I am trying to learn to "program in C" does anyone know of somebody, maybe a student, that is available in the NYC area for tutoring? I was looking to pay around $30/hr. Thanks, Greg.

Hi Alberto. Thanks for the reply. A programmer friend of mine recommended C as the best, not easiest, to learn to understand how programming works and to teach good programming habits.

Learning C really is jumping in at the deep end. I'd swim in shallower waters first. Try MIT's excellent "Introduction to Computer Science" on iTunes U for free first, which uses Python to teach some basics. If it's good enough for them...

While you're mingling at New Work City... check out the new exhibition there of iPad portraits by digital art iconoclast, David Newman.

iPad portraits are a great way to mark startup milestones. I've watched David draw live with SketchBook at a New York Times hackathon, amazing!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
