First time at a NY Tech Meetup - enjoyed it. I thought most of the presenters were great, and I appreciated the format and the strict time limits.
  • Annabel Kilner
First experience of a meetup, having just moved from London to NY last week to set up mydeco.com. Was great, interesting demos, and nice networking. Looking forward to the next one.
  • Trevor Sumner
Dina was great. Witty and smart. Get her back again
  • Paula Schafer
Great as ever - though a friendlier check-in people is nice too.
  • Trace Cohen
Always a great time as usual. Amazing start-ups and presentations with the best and loudest crowd in city. Just funny to see that the tech meetup has technically difficulties sometimes
  • Mark Birch
Despite the technical glitches with some of the demos, it was a good event and the tech companies presenting for the most part did a great job.

Dina was great as the presenter. She did a great job at keeping the pace.
  • Sunny
    amazing as usual
  • agreenjay
great to hear Shirky and why we're dependent on the kindness of strangers ;-)

This was my first NY Tech Meetup, but I hope to attend on a regular basis. NYTM seems like a great vehicle for keeping up with the NY tech scene.
  • Kristen Leone

Solid presenters. Innovative & thought provoking.

Loved it! This was my first meetup, and I went with my colleagues from House Party, Inc. I really enjoyed all the presentations and definitely learned a lot. We had a lot to discuss, but overall, we liked most of the presentations chosen. I wish that Clay Shirky's presentation had been longer - that was my favorite and I wanted to learn more!

Had a fantastic time at the event but someone was handing out fake drink tickets after the event.
  • Erica Heinz
    great lineup

Loved the presentations! It'd be good if they could work out the technical difficulties with the internet connection. And why is there no public wi-fi?!?
  • ilya mez
Internet has to be better. These companies that are presenting are great, and it's a pity to see them not being able to do an effective demo because of internet not working would have loved to see a similar segment as you did in June to present a 'failure' company
  • Tom Godfrey
Wasn't as well organized as last month's - started late, long intermission took steam out of group.
  • Alain Benzaken
Practice the presentations on the laptop that will be used!
  • Bernie Slome
Good venue...while I understand technical problems, isn't this somewhat of an oxymoron for a tech group? Would also like presenters to talk about business model.
  • Loren Feldman
I really loved it. Such a great vibe.

dina was a great mc & brandon did a great job organizing
  • Pedro Torres
Excellent lineup of startups and great exchange of ideas with a very interesting group of people.. Definitely coming back next month!
  • Katherine Heires
Interesting and informative, but I think folks should have been encouraged in some way to network at the start. Herding everyone into an auditorium/classroom space at the beginning limits the networking opportunities at these events. Why not have separate ID's for entrepreneurs, media and service providers and then let everyone know when they arrive that they are encouraged to network in the space outside the auditorium, before the presentation?
  • Alex Gordon
Great venue & presenters, just need everyone to be prepared for tech issues; they're inevitable, might as well plan for them.
