I've noticed that a lot of the seats are empty the day of the meetup. Is that because people say yes and don't show?

First time Meet Up for me. I was shocked to find Ben Satterfield presenting Twiddla, as we grew up a block away from each other. How wonderfully random. Looking forward to the next Meet Up!

It was excellent, well organized and the presentations were great. I liked trendrr, donorschoose.org, kluster and Twiddla

What a great group and venue. Well organized and fun too. Thanks for letting me demo http://www.twiddla.com/ while I was in town, it was a real honor. Hope to catch another one while in town next time!

Was more crowded than I'd expected and was surprised to see so many people standing.
  • Tim Kress-Spatz
This was my first meeting and I thought it was great. The presentation we mostly interesting and it was nice have time to speak directly with the presenters at the end.
  • Peter Karp
    A good set of presentations.
  • Erin Pettigrew
Would suggest putting the company names on the column placards when doing the break-out sessions. A lot of us have no idea who the people on the signs are or what they look like and 5 minutes often isn't enough time to figure that out and go to the right column later. Really need the company names. Make this more substantial. Charging $10 but not adding more value isn't helpful. This meetup is too large to make really personal connections, so finding a way to add value in another way would be great.
  • Gadi BenMark
Excellent selection of companies, all came well prepared, all stuck to the 5 minute time frame, it flowed smoothly from one to the next. The event was well prepared and well executed.
  • Neil Kahn
My first Tech Meetup and I thought it was great. Cool idea to have the speakers stationed around the room afterward. Suggestion: in addition to posting the name of the speaker at each location, post the project name as well.
  • Josh
Great companies...great logistical improvements (roaming mikes...allowing people to as about the business model)
  • Yaritsa Arenas
I really enjoyed all the presenters, the meetup was very informative and exciting as usual. My only complain about this particular meeting was that since there were more presenters than usual, it felt a bit rushed. I would have preferred to stay an extra half hour in order to give each presenter a couple of extra minutes. I'm not sure what the agreement is with the venue, so I'm not sure if this would have even been an option, but it's a thought. I prefer to keep the presenter count lower and have a less rushed presentation.
  • Nichelle Stephens
    great presentations
  • Anthony De Rosa
Excellent mix of presenters, I would definitely come again.
  • Steven Lehrburger
I'm a recent graduate and on a pretty tight budget, so the increased fee will make it harder for me to attend. Speakers this month were good, especially Twiddla and Muxtape!
  • Max Avramenko
I really liked Twiddla prototype. It's really amazing what could be done with scripting technology. However a bigger challenge would be to build a company around it. Also DonorsChoose.org is a great idea. I always disliked the fact the one cannot chose how money is spent when donating to a conventional charity. This is the real deal!! Donors chose where the money is going. ADSDAQ reminded me of the securities trading business. Very clever, I don't know enough about online advertising, however spend a lot of time working on securities trading systems and I got the concept right away!!
  • Nate Heasley
Great presenters, as usual. Unfortunately the presenters are just not enough; needs more debrief, discussion, collaboration and interaction. Otherwise, might as well watch it on youtube.
  • Mark Chackerian
lots of presenters; a few dull, but many good
  • Brian Driscoll
Meeting was very good. Thought it would have better results if all the presenters were from the same market segment. This was done in a prior meetup and seemed to work well.
  • Jim Stogdill
Very cool. Always enjoy these things.
  • Travis Millman
Another group of interesting presenters. Nice balance of "commercialness"
  • Meghan Attreed
I thought the crowd was great! As a 20-something in tech, it was nice to go to a tech networking event and meet people in my age range, as well as some more established tech folks.
  • Mark Curran
a couple too many presenters, 5-6 would be just right, it was a lot to absorb in short time
  • Joshua E. Rockoff
It was hard to see the speakers based on the arrangement of chairs. The rushed nature of it was hard to figure out details, but it was fine for getting a general overview.
  • Luis Hernandez
    Awesome!
  • Jonathan Wegener
    Great presenters, great space. Thanks!
