Re: [newtech-1] How can I customize Rapportive?

I ran into the same problem when I started to use Rapportive. Needless to say, I am quite a different person from when I just graduated college to now.?

Dependent on certain restrictions you can edit your profile. I found this on their FAQ page, I hope it's helpful? ?

My information is missing / wrong / outdated. How do I fix this?

When you have Rapportive installed, you can edit the profile for the email address with which you are logged into Rapportive: just click "my profile" at the bottom of any sidebar. You can hover your mouse over any part of the profile to change it. Your changes will instantly be seen by anybody who views your profile on Rapportive.

If you use several different email addresses, Rapportive currently does not allow you to edit information for addresses other than the one you logged in with. (We're working on it.) If you need information for other email addresses changed, just send us an email to?[address removed]?and we'll take care of it for you.

In future, we're planning to accept corrections to other people's information too. We're still figuring out the best way to do that.

Hey All:

There are some advantages and disadvantages to Rapportive. One major disadvantage is the ability to customize what displays in the Gmail sidebar. Much of the information in my Rapportive profile is old, incorrect, or misleading. While I've been eliminating many of the social profiles on sites I no longer have use for (i.e. Friendster, Bebo, and Hi5), it Rapportive doesn't update once you delete those profiles, nor does it tell you where it's pulling the data from. These features would go a long way towards making the plug-in more useful.

Any ideas?
