thanks for all your feedback, im going to tell me neighbors based on my feelings and relating to the imput from the list, thank you all, to do two things.

get an apple laptop
get one of those other OLDP machines.

These are people who spend half of their year, without the creature comforts we have on a daily basis to help those less fortunate then themselves. I admire them a lot. They have made their decision. They are making a difference. I only ask to make it easier for them.

I'll keep you posted, Providing they tell me. maybe they will even join the list and share their experiences.

An unexamined imagination is an unfulfilled life.

HI -
Yes, i do believe and often wish some things, people etc would be left alone, but i am addressing the situation as it is - now. So its done and we can Undo.
- As to the way advanced nations work w/ developing countries = often paternal if you ask me. So here we are.

I never indicated enforcement (yikes). So I'm not advocating that we infiltrate and integrate rampantly or otherwise; and i do agree with many of your points and those of others. Being that the situation is already in play - i guess i take a more philosophical road because simply: it is.
* For OTHER developing regions etc - IMO this is their decision = leave them alone to decide what's best for themselves, help out if asked.

I am however very big on doing and thinking out of the box and experiments/dynamics such as this. We have access to so much - on this list alone - and to be civic/participate we might help the process by being aware and possibly tweaking/ troubleshooting stuff that may be [predictably] riddled with challenges. We will learn a lot by being privy to this roll out and how it can be improved.
And i leave that decision to each and every one of you alone.
Looking forward!
Dee

Hey Dee,

Personally.. I think some countries / people / groups of people / etc.. should be left alone.

Is it really necessary to enforce development?

Do they really have to be so advance and be onpar with rest of the world?

   Can't things be left alone?

I'm sadden by all the integration.   I think some things are left better untouch / molested maybe even unadvanced.   It's like getting to the top of Mt. Everest and finding Holiday Inn Express.

I don't think it's imperative we discover everything and know all things.

Just wait 'til everyone can live to 300yrs old and the world population has doubled with no one dying.. . then where will we be?

And with all the advancements I'm not so sure that with rf id, hotspots, google's mylocation thingy.. that its good someone know where you are all the time from anywhere.  Ever watch the Minority Report and every store you walk by asks you " it's time for a new pair of underwear!  The last time you purchased one was 5yrs 8months 15 days and 7hrs ago.  Time to get a new one!"  OR worse..as you walk by a department store... "HEY!  you owe us last month's payment!!!  Pay now or else I'm going to shout it out to everyone!!

If you don't know what I'm talking about.. watch the Minority Report..

    scary...
