FTP application with penultimate synchronisation capabilities

From: Dean C.

I’ve been made responsible for updating a website that’s only accessible via FTP, this means when I update the site I can only upload files using FTP (no exceptions).

So my problem is this, for remote websites normally I update them using frontpage which only updates the ‘changed’ files. So the only way using ftp for me to make sure the changed files get updated is by deleting the remote website and then uploading latest revision.

Wouldn’t be a problem normally except that the site is now about 80mb with all the pdf’s etc, and going to get a lot bigger in 2 weeks from now when I start uploading video demo’s.

I’m using WS FTP Pro which has ‘some’ synch capabilities and either I’m doing something wrong but it doesn’t seem to calculate and implement changes if it’s only internal in the file and not deletions/additions etc that it does fine.

So any suggestions for a better ftp application?
