Why even answer the guy? You fell for an old trolling trick.
Why buy a Mac when a PC costs less and it has 10,000 more programs?
You could spend all day answering people like that.
No 5 mega-pixel camera! No flash, no 3g, no replaceable battery! Gosh, I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

why iphone with less features is such a great sell.If it is all about marketing then kudos to Apple for being able to come into a new market and right away set the standard.
Every phone maker besides Apple had a pole position in this sector yet now everyone else seems to being having to offer something like the iphone says how they all think or don't.
If anything is true it is that Apple gets everyone else to get off their high horses and challenge others to deliver.
Marketing can only work as long as the product lives upto the hype else it will fail eventually.
Enough typing with one hand for now....

if anything has to beat iphone it would be the fancy marketing nto
features ...
iphone lags far behind nokia samsung or LG
it doesnt even have 3g - 90 other phones have it
it doesnt have flash or 5MP camera- 30 other phones have it but not
marketed in USA.
it doesnt have removable memory or battery
its heavier than most other fancy phones...
the screen get damaged and becomes totally useless.

I suspect it was both business and technology. Business,
because AT&T/Cingular is still the largest network, which gives
them broadest exposure to customers. Technology, because
AT&T/Cingular is GSM, which means one mobile chip (Verizon means
CDMA, etc.) for the US and abroad, which means simpler management and
much lower production and operational costs.
Besides, I have no doubt that the revenue sharing agreement they cut
with AT&T was best for them. Their phone, their deal, their choice.
We don't like it, we can come up with something better. And we have:
jailbreaks, Android, WinMo, Symbian, take your pick. I still think the
iPhone is the best, but the beauty of the open market is that we are
not stuck with their choices.

so
long as apple stays with at&t, no amount of extra hard drive space,
network compatibility, and fun (read: useful) apps will save them from
mediocrity.
Sure, when the 3G comes out I'll be able to use it back home in Israel,
but I *still can't* use it in the states.
Why not? because I won't pay at&t and their sub-par network for
the 'honor' of using what is probably the best phone/pda in the market.
The only question is, can I use the android on the Verizon network?
And if not, who's fault is that? Verizon's or Google's?
