Most hard disks have either tiny little screws to hold them against the rail or they have those special Torx screws which require the appropriate screwdriver to get off. If you use the wrong screwdriver you may strip the screws and thus render them incapable of being removed, so be careful. I guess I also ask which model HDD you bought since that will also have a bearing on the case.
