Re: [newtech-1] Press Releases - How to ?

It takes contacts and networking.

There are a ton of online pr agencies , that range from $10 to $1000
to run an announcement.
They all basically do the same thing: promote your announcement to an
empty room of people who don't want to listen.

Find someone with experience in pr networking -- they'll know who to
call, who to impress , and how to get published. Its usually a mix
between calling in a lot of favors, and outright buying off
'reporters' / papers / bloggers ( these people aren't journalists,
its not news, so its just legit. its how the industry works ).

That said, your application looks very familiar to something that
i've seen.

I can't recall the name of the product, but there was a team of 2
people running out of Dumbo ~[masked] who were doing the same thing
as you but only for high-end catalogs and magazines. I think one
was from SF, and the other was from London, Paris or Cape Town -- I
met them through one of the guys who ran Dennis Interactive in their
big days.

Their whole process was automated, and they were making a killing off
it back then. They started off the luxury market to raise capital
and fuel development + and were spending a ton of money on patents.

So i'd strongly suggest looking into that.
