Re: [newtech-1] Press Releases - How to ?

If you decide to go with PRWeb, let me know (offlist) and I can send you
the options I have selected. Some of them frankly are worthless to me
but may appear to be very good options. Most times the $80 level will
get you a pretty good coverage level.

I started offering a press release service on CenterNetworks about a
month ago. So far the few who have used it have said it has been very
positive (I haven't marketed it yet).

And in all seriousness, what Jonathan says is true, a press release
won't really get you a ton of coverage. You have to hit the virtual
pavement and work every angle. Talk to every blogger, etc. In fact, I
get about 50-70 press releases a day. Most I just ignore, I would rather
have a well crafted message about the service offering than some
standard langauge. A "Hello Allen" goes a long way. And also understand
the sites you are sending the release to.

The service seems interesting. Perhaps look at an AdWords campaign for
the magazines you support.
