I know this is a little off-topoc, but thought this would be a good community for some feedback. Due to a deteriorating hearing condition, I will be deaf by the end of the month. In terms of hearing aids, implants, etc., this is still up in the air -- for the moment, I'm assuming complete deafness.
Given that, what have you guys heard about smartphones for the deaf? I currently use an Android, and love it for its customizability. But I've also heard that Apple really goes above and beyond when it comes to Accessibility, and it seems like there are more iPhone apps than Android apps for deaf users.
I'd love to get anyone's thoughts, whether personal experience or anecdotal.
