I haven't used it just yet. I've seen the landing page promoting the feature, but haven't dived in. We just upgraded to the latest JIRA at work. I'm not sure if they are deploying that feature or not, or if it costs anything to do so.

For me, Basecamp is a simple communication tool to keep docs attached to to dos, communicate with the team, set milestones and other simple tasks. I wasn't looking for heavy duty PM tools. Because it syncs with Highrise for CRM, its helpful to me to get my content team using both tools and they are learning. I'm not dealing with sophisticated people. I needed simple. They have a hard time understanding JIRA, never mind Basecamp. But they are learning and for me, that was the goal. It was to get them out of sending hundreds of emails to each other without anyway to track the conversation.

I'm thinking about testing Office365 with them, but not sure yet.

Tony, I was about to ask if you'd used Bonfire within the Atlassian suite?

Not sure I'd say Basecamp is great for Project Management. It's really just a glorified to-do list. It quickly ran its course for us.
