In a pinch, a shared Google spreadsheet, colored coded can also work fine. They built the Empire State Building in 355 days with a pad and a pencil to manage it all. Sometimes we can get swept up in the media and miss the message.  

Stickies and a whiteboard are great for sure, and a roll of yellow tracing paper, and a bottle of red. In the end, it all just somehow gets done if we want it to. 

But the most important thing of course, have fun doing it. That should be the reason you even go to work after all. For life is way too damn short not to. Way too short.  ;-)
