Hey again Mike -

Rethinking your email I realize there was a double-interpretation of what I was asking. I wasn't asking about what people pay for to reduce their pain. I was asking what pain consumers have in the consumer (consumption?) process, and defining the consumption process as spending money in exchange for something.

e.g. I hate that I will literally waste 3 hours searching for that perfect movie out of the 2000 options I have with cable, premium channels, netflix, amazon prime, etc.
