Re: [newtech-1] No Coders left in America?

Charles,

.NET for instance lists something like 3x to 4x as many openings as there are candidates, on average, across markets.

Good software engineers and app developers are simply not unemployed right now. 4% unemployment rate nationally.

Great software engineers, who never had to worry before, are raking it in now.

Demand has rapidly outpaced supply. The web 1.0 bubble burst didn't help, nor has the Great Recession which also wasted years entry-levels could be leveling up in relevant tech, both jading many degree-seekers and recent graduates. (That said, truly motivated individuals find ways to upskill without it having to be on a job.)

Let me see if I understand this....
We are on a distribution of over 30,000 technologists.  We have record high unemployment in the US.
And we are concluding there are no coders left in America so the only options are sending the work to India.  Is that what I just read?

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm sure this question gets asked from time-to-time: does anyone have experience using Indian programmers/coders.  I'm bootstrapping right now, have tried the "sweat equity" route to find a coder/programmer, and it hasn't really gone well.
At this point, in order to develop a minimum viable product, I'm willing to scrape up funds from somewhere and just outsource the job overseas.

Thanks,

Kimberly
