Re: [newtech-1] Disrupting Online classifieds/ Craigslist. Please leave feedback

Chris,

If you lurk on this list, then you should absolutely know throwing some cut and paste job onto the list is considered spamming the list. We know you're excited and we're excited for you, but next time you spam the list like this without coming on and addressing the list personally and posting appropriately, I'm going to report you again to the NYTM organizers, like I did today. You win zero points with me here. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm sure you haven't engendered a lot of enthusiasm through your crass self-promotion without ever contributing anything of value to the list.

Dear Tony,

On sincerely apologize on behalf of PublicTrades if our news is considered as spam. We are excited about the launch and strongly believe that passing the news to fellow tech enthusiasts on Tech meetup for honest reviews/ feedback will validate the services that we strive to provide. Again, I apologize.

Sincerely,

Chris B

PublicTrades.

Chris,

Your blatant disregard for spamming the list with your announcement is in poor taste.

Don't ever spam this list again with a "copy and paste" announcement. You get on here yourself and speak to us like you're supposed to.

I'm going to be contacting your organization to complain. What you did is considered spam and is not welcome.

While we're certainly interested in the launch of this site, there are better ways of going about it than just copying and pasting a canned message to an email list serve. You should all know better than that.
