Re: [newtech-1] Google and Privacy

I'm sorry, but what proof do you have that Google's employees have "fun going through people's privacy"? I don't recall any sort of situation where Google has played with sensitive user information.

Also, why does Google saying they are going to educate employees on privacy scare you? Have you been to a hospital? Did you know any employee or volunteer that deals with patient information has to have privacy training to comply with HIPPA? Or what about at universities that have to have all employees that deal with student information go through FERPA training to learn about privacy and how to keep student information private? Does that scare you too?

Come on Mac, Google messed up accidentally and they are paying the price AND trying to right the wrong by educating people. If you don't like it, or are concerned that they are having fun with your privacy, then please, move to Microsoft's Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, or another platform, and then you have done your part to take their user count down 1.

I'm not a conspiracies and going try to scare people but Google and its innovative products are 1984 Big Brother type of technology. In October of[masked],000 people in Germany asked for pics of their houses and apartments to be removed from Street view. Thats a quarter million people that feel their privacy is violated. Google Glasses are already building concern with privacy.
The real issue is Google employees having fun going through people's privacy. Its scary when a company like Google says they're going educate employees about privacy and inform the public about securing wireless networks.

Scooping up peoples passwords, information etc.  Google was fined 7 million dollars but is worth 220 billion dollars. Will this stop you from using Google products knowing that they can and have violated peoples privacy? Or you care but wont do anything because Google is so great? Or will you do something about it and try your best to stop them? Or  will you do nothing cause you don't care?
