If you are interested, you can see the salaries, prevailing wages, titles and employer names for H1B's from many years here.


I believe employers pay a bit more than prevailing wage to get the case approved. But in my experience, the prevailing wage itself is quite low. You can check it here http://www.wdol.gov/sca.aspx

One way another, this isn't good.

From the words of lawyers and employers who are seasoned to how it works, they tell me the only way to go around the H1B system (which checks the wage you'll be paid at, by the way) is to "know someone" (at the Department of State, obviously). In the case of underpaid worker, they tell me it's just totally impossible.

I'm interested in other direct feedbacks.
