Thanks for posting this, Mike. Shameless plug, I'm with the Application Developers Alliance and Joel is chairman of our board (which he mentions in his post). We're doing a patent summit in NYC in May: (location and date TBD because we've had to move our CA venues twice due to demand).

Then, later this year, we're coming back to do some direct work with developers, startups, and small companies who have been sent demand/claim letters. It's worth keeping an eye out for when we announce if you're interested in the patent world. If folks would like, I'd be happy to send a note to the list when we announce that event. In the mean time, if anyone on the list is a freelancer/small company/developer and you've received a patent demand/claim letter, I'd love to chat off-list about helping you.

We're going hard at trolls this year.
