Well Obama got $800 billon from Congress in less time it takes to form
a non-profit apparently. :-) Maybe a board that wasn't so busy would
have been a better choice so they can actually dedicate time to NYTM.
And if NYTM is a non-profit maybe the community should have chosen the
board.

Well that is the entire point of this thread. We can't "do the math"
because nothing has been disclosed.

An easy way to settle the questions:

How much did the IAC space cost per month?
How much does the new FIT space cost?
What are the misc expenses?
What are the pennies that go to Meetup, Inc?

NYTM and/or Meetup, Inc is allowed to make money. I don't think
anyone is against that, but when NYTM is portrayed as a
pseudo-community organization people should be able to know where
there money is going.

These questions are nothing new. Allen Stern has been asking these
questions for months and months. The core of the confusion is that
NTYM continues to be an in between organization and during the
transition thousands of dollars are collected. If NYTM is for-profit,
no problem, but there is an aspect of NYTM "marketing" that seems to
portray NYTM as a community organization.
