RE: Shocking racist rant by NY Tech Member - Re: [newtech-1] Giving away my book for free

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

HOWEVER

In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country
and the right is commonly subject to limitations, such as on "hate speech".
-- Wikipedia article on "Freedom of Speech"

sure its not "proof" because wikipedia says so, but in this case I'll drink
the kool aid.

Oh... and we ain't congress. This is a private group protected by its own
set of laws and governed democratically. Shall we take a vote on this
issue?
