“ I'm very glad to have found a group which supports separation of church and state but isn't just for atheists. Separation of church and state is vital to the freedom of all of us. ”

“ Many of the Gods that are worthy of worship, are considered the origin of ill fate or wrong doings. This could be farther from the truth. For example, the devil is considered the origin of the ills of disease. Conversely, with the advent of the microscope and modern medicine, many diseases and social diseases are treatable. Main stream religion uses manifestations of ignorance to further their claim of God and the destructive forces of Satan. This group addresses a wide range of issues that wrongly encourage the discrimination of the occult. ”

“ Is religion about a God belief or about itself? This question is easy to answer, once the evidence of human nature is applied. Is it an excuse for an intolerance,a justification for an extreme point of view? What is known and is absolutely un-questioningly clear and evident thoughtout all of history to this day is the nature of human beings. What does that mean? Fear, bigotry, envy, jealous, greed, desire. All of this is found in religion, all of it is used has a means to gather membership and to justify that membership. How could a person make such a claim against religions? How has it been used? How is it being used now? What does it preach? What is its origins? Consider the evidence of its dogma. Moralizations of lifestyles. An intolerance of any questioning of it. Intolerance of any other religion or idealogy. The use of a belief as a punishment of any violations of its dogma. That is not a God belief or a non-God belief. That is a use of a belief for a bigotry of oppinion. ”

“ See above Only one other person showed up beside myself and that person was not even the organizer! ”

“ If a person is going to organize a meetup, they should at least attend the meetings. The organizer wasn't present at this one, and according to the one other member that showed up, didn't show last month either. This meetup seems to be dying; I won't be going again unless I hear that things have changed. ”
