You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
The Meetup group New Yorkers for Peace in the Middle East is promoting a showing of 'Another Side of Peace' - a Film & Discussion by 'the Parents Circle', on Sunday, October 9, at 2 PM, at Hebrew Tabernacle Congregation, 551 Fort Washington Ave. (184th St. & Ft. Washington Ave.), in Manhattan. 'The Parents Circle', a group of both Israeli and Palestinian parents of children killed in the continuing cycle of violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by Hebrew Tabernacle, Fort Washington Collegiate Church and the North Manhattan Neighbors For Peace & Justice, said to be "working together to bring our community The Face of the Other, a series to present and discuss films that explore issues of tolerance, racism, peace and war with the hope of increasing our awareness of the diverse human experience we all share."
Note: NYARBB does not take a stand on how to solve the Israel/Palestine problem, in general. NYARBB has only the humbler aim of contributing to the solution (whatever the solution might turn out to be) by counteracting the demonization of both Jews and Muslims, including (1) grand conspiracy claims about Jews and (2) the tendency to assume that all Muslims are Islamists and/or terrorists.
