HI All,
I am very excited to begin this adventure of section hiking the long trail in VT. The first of the series will begin at the bottom of VT. The plan is to cover 37 miles over two days and end up at the Stratton-Arlington Road. We will hike in about .3 miles friday night and stay at the Seth Warner lean-to friday night. Then hike about 20 miles on Saturday and stay at the Goddard lean-to Saturday night. Sunday we will hike 13 miles and head home. They are longer days but the max group size is 10. I would like to keep this a tight group to ensure there are not hitches. Please bring all appropriate gear for camping in tents as the lean-to's are first come first serve and hold a max of 8 people if completely empty. You will need to be prepared for all conditions including rain. Please also bring all your own cooking gear if you do not share with other participants. Do not rely on "someone else will have" policy. Please pack light and efficient to keep a solid comfortable pace. No 65 liter packs! I will continue to post the balance of the hikes to get us eventually to Canada!! If you have interest in completing the entire 300 miles now now is the time to start this great challenge. Please only RSVP if you are 100% committed as I am setting the limit to a max of 10 people. If you have question please let me know and I will answer. You should get a Vermont Long Trail map as it will help you understand the entire trail and grade.

Probably can't make #1. Do you have a date for the next LT hike?
