Introduction
Got into backpacking/hiking when I was living in California, and looking for some folks interested in heading into the woods/mountains around NYC.
Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.
Granite mountains, good company, cold air, and warm food -- found memories of the Sierras in Desolation Wilderness.
Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?
No...might be useful to have though!
Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.
Yes, nothing too cold though...probably around 10 degrees?
What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?
I try to stay on good terms with the wildlife...so far they have returned the favor.
What's your favorite snack food on the trail?
Chocolate.
