Hi Scott, thanks for the welcome! The first time I saw Joe Lovano at Yoshi's, I thought he was mailing it in and making it look too easy (yes, that's a negative!). Then I saw him cut loose at the Stanford Jazz workshop and he killed it. Looking forward to exploring the jazz scene and catching some events! And maybe even a jam session or two - my saxophones need some exercise.
Greetings !!!! I look forward to seeings you soon. My family is totally in love with Jazz music. My father played the trumpet, my grandmother and I played piano. I also play a little Oboe.
Thanks for your kind greeting. I am most interested in Jazz jam sessions. Looking forward to playing for the love of playing and not having gigs as an ultimate goal.
Hey Scott - thanks for reaching out. Let me know if you are in touch with musicians in the area. I am working on putting a small group together. Thanks!
Ok just bought my ticket
Hi Scott yes-Watercolor Cafe in Larchmont has jazz regularly, some musicians from Purchase college-quite good. Chat 19 in Larchmont sometimes as well, and The Bayou in Fleetwood.
Scott - if you have a moment, reach out to me regarding a space in Bronxville with a 9' Steinway in a small hall. I have access and perhaps the group might want to take advantage of my access to the space. Ken Kresge [masked]
