DATE CHANGE: Fall and Winter Strategy Session

DATE CHANGE BECAUSE OF YOM KIPPUR. We need to inspect the Brooklyn hives for harvesting whatever honey we can get and start planning a schedule for feeding the bees at both locations syrup from September to November on a regular basis until they go into cluster in late November. Winter approaches even now! We should also discuss medication. How organic do we want to go? I strongly hope all oldbees (for want of a better word) can make it.

The event offered a great variety of experiences, including time with the bees, an opportunity to observe the honey extraction process, some interesting group discussion, a fascinating video about beekeeping practices in Zanzibar, and time to begin to get to know the other participants. Very gratifying all around.
