NYC Beekeeping presents TREES FOR BEES with MILLION TREES
We need bees! They pollinate the crops that we depend on and are essential to the functioning of our ecosystem.
Bees need trees! Trees and forage provide bees with the nectar and pollen they require to maintain their hives and ensure the continuation of their species.
Help us help the bees by planting trees and forage (Chokeberry, Groundel, Black Cherry, Various Oak,Various Sumacs, Sassafras)! Join Million Trees and NYC Beekeeping on October 27th from 9am to 1pm at historic Floyd Bennett Field for the first Trees for Bees! Bee Forage Planting Event!
It will be a fun-filled day of outdoor activities and picnic lunch in a beautiful setting. This event is suitable for all ages (children must be accompanied by an authorized adult). Beelovers, beekeepers, treehuggers, friends & family are all welcome!
Floyd Bennett Field is beautiful and bikeable! If you are driving, there is ample free parking nearby. Million Trees has added a shuttle from the Brooklyn College stop on 2/5 lines.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
