This was my first experience with helping at the hive, prior to going to the roof, we sat and talked about the education a bee has to go through to learn all thier phases of production and survive, amazing what they accomplish in the short life span that they have, we went to the park and collected the pine needles necessary for the smoker that calmed the disturbed little guys that then allowed us to remove sections of hive to examine and loosen up the trays to make ready for the next time of harvest, we then went to the back yard garden and John had a demonstration hive with removable sides and could see the queen in action and all the activity going on, for me it was a wonderful experience and with a few more working visits hope someday to start my own. thank you very much, Ed
