A solar wax melter certainly is the way to go if you have somewhere 
sunny to put it, but for those who lack luxuries like yards and
nearby roof space, this would be a good alternative:

If anyone wants to do this, but lacks the manual dexterity
or proper tools to drill and tap the hole for the fittings, 
we can do this at a meeting sometime, as it takes only a 
few minutes to do whole drill-and-tap thing.
