Announcing a new Meetup for The New York City Beekeeping Meetup Group!

What: Hive Inspection and (Possible) Mite Treatment

When: September 26,[masked]:00 PM

The Brooklyn Bee Apiary
18 Fort Greene Place
Brooklyn, NY 11217

Yikes! I think I've got varroa mites. If so, we may have to treat for them (oxalic acid). Also a general inspection and hoping for more honey for a Fall harvest. New members especially welcome!
Wear long pants and socks to tuck your pants into. Nothing worse than a bee in your pants! Also: ladies, bees tend to fly into long hair and get stuck, so take measures if necessary. These are just precautions. You're not likely to make contact with the bees.
